Orly - Sugar High Mini's

Happy Wednesday everyone! Shockingly, I am yet gain not posting to schedule this week....

To make up for it, today I have swatches of the awesome Spring collection from Orly, Sugar High. Containing four mini's of the six shades, the Sugar High Mini Kit collection is inspired by 'your favourite dessert memories'.

So let's get started!

From L-R Sweet Dreams; Key Lime Twist; Cake Pop and Candy Shop.

First swatch is of Sweet Dreams. This is a taupe / purple base with a really fine blue toned shimmer running throughout. Two coats -

Close up with flash, to show that shimmer off -

Next, Key Lime Twist. It won't come as a surprise that this lime green creme is my favourite of the bunch! This is one of those Pastel Neon's that are the it thing right now. Love it. Two coats -

Third up is Cake Pop, a super pale pink creme. This one needed three coats -

And finally Candy Shop, a mauve / purple creme. Two coats -

The formula of all these polishes is lovely. They all applied really nicely, even the three coater Cake Pop. That one was just a tad sheer for my liking, but if you don't mind three coats, it's still a great polish.

Like I said, key Lime Twist is my absolute fave, and I am really tempted to buy a full size as a back up!

The Orly Sugar High Mini Kit is £15 (though as I was checking the site to write this, it was half price!) at, a bargain when you consider the full size polishes are £10.50 each.

Thank you for reading and I'll see you very soon!

Color Club - Barely There

Does it ever happen to anyone else that you order something and it arrives on the same day as something else that is almost identical? This happened to me a few days ago when my Essie Flowerista polishes, were delivered on the same day as my April Glossybox, which happened to include Barely There nail polish by Color Club.

This a warm nude creme, which is very close to Essie Perennial Chic! However I think Barely There is a shade closer to my skin tone.

I am wearing to two coats of polish with top coat -

The formula is really nice, and I am definitely going to be checking out more Color Club shades. I believe in the UK you can find them online at

You can still purchase the 'Iconic Hollywood' collectors edition box at, which contains five beauty products, three of which are full size(!) for £10 + £2.95 p+p.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend so far :)

Essie - Flowerista

Well aren't I terrible at blogging recently!
Never mind, I'm here now, with a post featuring the new Essie collection for Spring - Flowerista.

This collection is the first in collaboration since Essie introduced designer Rebecca Minkoff as Global Colour Designer, and it is beautiful! The collection consists of six shades inspired by the 'energetic nature of the Spring season'.

I think they're just a lovely set of colours, which are great for Spring and there is a colour for everyone. I have four of the collection to show, so lets get into it :)

All swatches are two coats of polish with a top coat.

The first colour I have is called Perennial Chic, and it is a nude creme.

Next is Blossom Dandy, a light minty creme.

Third up is Petal Pushers which is a cool grey creme.

And finally Garden Variety. This one is a creme teal blue, and it wouldn't photograph well at all! I have played with the colours in these photos to try and make the colours more true to life. I can't figure out of it leans green or blue...

I think my favourite is between Petal Pushers and Garden Variety. I just can't decide!

The other two shades in the collection are Flowerista, which is a bright purple/pink shade, and Picked Perfect, a darker caramel nude.

Overall, I really enjoyed swatching and wearing these colours. The formula's are all great, including the nude! And I'm happy with my purchases :)

The Essie Flowerista collection is available at for £8.95 each, and you can check out for more information.

Thank you for reading, hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

China Glaze - Electric Nights

Hi guys! Remember me?!

After my hectic week at work, I've finally had some time to myself and time enough to get this blog written! I swatched these new China Glaze Electric Nights colours around a week ago with the best intentions in the world, but I just never got round to posting. But better late than never eh!

The Electric Nights collection is China Glaze's Sumer '15 offering, and the colours are great fun. Out of the nine bright neon shades and three glitters, I have six of the collection to share, so lets get in to it :)

L-R Red-Y To Rave; Treble Maker; Point Me To The Party; Daisy Know My Name?; Violet-Vibes and DJ Blue My Mind

First up is Red-Y to Rave, a Coral red creme, two coats -

Next is Treble Maker, a light and bright green creme, and my favourite of the bunch! Three coats -

Third up is the glitter, Point Me To The Party. I've layered on coat over Daisy Know my Name? -

And Daisy Know My Name? is next. A neon yellow creme / jelly, that needed three coats -

Next up is Violet-Vibes. This one needs two coats and has the same crelly type formula as Daisy Know My Name? -

And finally, DJ Blue My Mind. A bright blue creme. Two coats -

I'm definitely happy with all my purchases :) I kept on DJ Blue My Mind for a couple of days, but I've decided that Treble Maker is my favourite.

Which one(s) do you like best?

I purchased these China Glaze Electric Nights colours from for £3.95 each.

Hope you're all having an awesome weekend :)
